Location
This economy class hotel, situated on Upper Lake Road, is located two-kilometers from Nuwara Eliya. The hill capital of Nuwara Eliya is around 170km from the Bandaranaike International airport in Katunayake, and a truly scenic 5 hour drive through some breathtaking landscape. This old colonial post is snug in a high valley surrounded by tall mountain ranges and with its cool climate and green slopes it was fondly named 'little England' by the planter's who settled there. The town too, kept to this moniker – the official buildings and the residences both grand and humble were built to remind them of the 'home country' and many have survived to this day, making the town a quaint reminder of a time gone by.
